YES - FREE AUTOCAD TRAINING - NO REGISTRATION NEEDED!
YES - You will learn how to use AutoCAD here without prior knowledge!
This site provides great tutorials for new students of AutoCAD. They are designed to be as compatible with as many versions of AutoCAD as possible. They are based on AutoCAD 2010, but are adapted to other versions like the new 2015 (differences are noted in the text). The lesson format was used in my CAD classes I have been teaching previously. Please note that these lessons are for private, individual use as well as public schools. Tutorials for 2008 are available here.
This is the BEST place to learn AutoCAD for free (and better than most paid courses)
The advantage to these lessons is that they teach the commands in context. Many online lessons deal only with the command, and not how it fits in the "general plan". I have also added videos with most of the lessons so that you can see the commands in action, and visualize how the assignments can be done.
Tutorials, Videos and Quizzes help you learn.
AutoCAD is a complex program and learning it an organized fashion will help you progress faster. That is my approach in these tutorials.
If you do not have a copy of AutoCAD, you candownload a 30 day evaluation copy from Autodesk. Follow this link, or go directly to their website. You will be downloading AutoCAD 2014 and it will work fine with these tutorials. You can also try other CAD programs likeZWCAD, which are less expensive alternatives.
Here are complete lessons divided into 4 levels of learning. Each Level is one section that builds on the previous. Clicking on the lesson number below will take you to that lesson. Each lesson also has its own quiz and each level has a combined quiz.
Many lessons have videos with narration to explain in detail some of the concepts. To view these videos, you may need the Adobe Flashplayer for your browser (videos should work fine in most browsers and devices).
